A LiveScan technician captures your fingerprints electronically and securely submits them to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). FDLE then processes the background check and forwards the results directly to the requesting agency.

Applicants typically need a Level 2 background screening when applying for state licenses or certain types of employment, especially in positions of trust.

You may need ink-card fingerprinting if you are:

• Applying for a job or license in another state 
• Submitting documents for international use (such as immigration or background checks for another country)
• Completing certain legal processes like expungement or personal record requests
